After a decade of waiting and anticipation, the world has very quickly moved on from PS5, PC title Lost Soul Aside. The game released to disappointing reviews, and it’s hardly been mentioned since that August 2025 launch.
Still, developer UltiZero Games is working to improve its action-focused effort post-launch. A new update is available to download now on PS5 and PC, and it attempts to solve a number of bugs and glitches while optimising specific parts of the experience.
In our Lost Soul Aside PS5 review, we called the game “both awesome and painfully awkward”, landing on a 6/10 score.
We concluded: “On one hand, it’s a very intricately made action game, full of interesting combat dynamics backed by an impressive degree of player expression. But on the other, it’s a pseudo RPG with a really poor story, crappy characters, and a forgettable world.” Another of our issues was the title’s performance, which is at least being addressed in some places with this patch.
