The Best Tips To Create A Base In Ball x Pit

The Best Tips To Create A Base In Ball x Pit

Something interesting about Ball x Pit is that your progression system isn’t only tied to your results in your run. As you get better in your battles, you’ll earn Blueprints that will let you build structures in your base. How efficiently you do this will give you many rewards, such as important buffs, resources to build more, and even new characters to use.

However, once you start unlocking many options, you might get paralyzed with all the freedom that you have and no indications on what you should be doing. That’s why we will give you some tips to build the best base layout in Ball x Pit.

How To Prepare Your Resources For Farming

Selecting the Farm, a structure that harvest Wheat in Ball x Pit.

When you’re giving your first steps, you won’t have many options. Put some fields, forests, and mines, and aim your workers as good as possible to make them bounce and grab every resource in one harvest.

The tricky part starts when you complete some levels for the first time, expand your land (more on this at the end of the article), and earn more Blueprints. Here’s where you need to start planning your resource management.

You earn Blueprints by finding them in a level during a run. They usually respawn after defeating a boss, but their drop rates are random. Always keep an eye on how many Blueprints remain in every level.

First, split the base into three parts. On the left or right side, you’ll put all the Warfare and Character buildings, in the middle, the Gold Mines route (next tip), and on the remaining side, you’ll build the farming structures.

At first, you have to create the fields and mines, but as you unlock new Blueprints, you’ll be able to build structures like Farms, which let you automatically harvest the Wheat fields around them. You also have a structure for Wood and another for Stone. Create them, assign a character, and you’ll forget about manually harvesting them; you’ll have sweet resources after each run.

How To Set Up Gold Mines

One of the first things you’ll want to do as soon as you unlock the Gold Mines is to build a harvest route for gold. In fact, after you have created a good layout for your Wheat, Wood, and Stone to be collected automatically, you won’t be harvesting anything else than gold.

What you’ll want to do with the Gold Mines is to create two horizontal lines of them, as long as you can (and the terrain allows you), and then close the top with another Gold Mine or building. Then, when you’re about to start the harvest, you aim in a diagonal line, and let your workers collect all the gold that they can.

Build the Spa, which lets you spend gold to start harvesting again without the need to play a run, and you can repeat this process a couple of times with great earnings.

When you need to level up a building or create a structure for the first time, simply replace some Gold Mines with the desired buildings, and you’ll be earning gold while you complete constructions.

Don’t Miss Any Warfare Buildings And Character Houses

We know that you’ll want to unlock the rest of the characters as soon as possible (and you should!). Put their structures on your base in a way that you can easily bounce workers between them, and then move them to one side once they are done.

While you might not use them too much at first, it’s strongly recommended to build all the Warfare structures when you have a strong economy and enough resources. These are all useful, especially the buildings that improve a specific stat scaling when you level up. You might think that their benefits aren’t that good at first, but the thing is that you need to level them up to see the best results.

Veteran’s Hut, the house for The Embedded, is a structure that you want to have in the center of all your other Character Houses. While some other Character Houses will have bonuses if you bounce on them, this one has an always-activated bonus that is also the most useful: an EXP bonus increase for all the other characters whose houses are built around Veteran’s Hut.

Don’t Forget To Level Up Your Structures

It might sound obvious, but in your first hours, you won’t be saving too many resources or gold, so you might be tempted to avoid leveling up structures. And it’s okay: focus on just building whatever you can and farming as much as possible in your harvest.

After a few hours and dozens of constructions (or whenever you have the Gold Mine route set up, honestly), start leveling up everything. There are a bunch of buildings that will give you sweet buffs when improved, such as the Evolution Chamber (new balls start at level 2), the Jeweler (your starting ball level is 2 or 3), or the Meditation Test (you get more offers for your upgrades).

To level up a building, you’ll only need the required resources and some workers to bounce on the building, as if they were building it from scratch again.

Also, you shouldn’t forget about leveling up farming buildings, which will give you more resources per harvest. But the priority should be the Warfare buildings that improve your stats.

Build Matchmaker ASAP

Playing a run with two characters in Ball x Pit.

This won’t change anything in your base or how effectively you collect resources, but it will completely change how you play your runs. Matchmaker allows you to use two characters at the same time. Basically, you’ll be controlling one of them, while the second one will be right behind you, sharing their starting ball and ability.

Playing with duos changes how you interact with the game on every level, and there are some great combinations with good synergy. For example, The Shieldbeared and The Itchy Finger, or The Repentant and The Juggler.

Also, the Necromancer is another useful structure to build as soon as possible. It will let you revive (with low health) once per run

When To Expand The Land

The pop-up for the trophy

From early on in the game, you can expand your land with additional blocks. You only need gold for this, starting at 300 gold, but the prices for new blocks will increase exponentially each time you buy a piece of land. You’ll be paying ~2,000 for the last few pieces.

It can be a common concern knowing when to spend your savings and buy the blocks. The best recommendation is that you shouldn’t worry about these for the first few hours. Opening the field can be counter-productive, since your workers can start bouncing and running through empty spaces, which we want to avoid.

Once you see that you have many buildings and you need more space, that would be the best moment to begin the expansion. Plus, having the Gold Mines route from before will be necessary for quickly gathering the gold for these purchases and not losing the chance to build other structures.
