Haru Urara is among the most adorable racers in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Her cute looks and personality have made her a favorite among fans, and even if she may not perform the best, we all still love her. Still, if you want a challenge, you should try clearing the Ura Finale using her.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Tokai Teio Build Guide
She’s got the speed, you’ve got the plan.
Building her is quite difficult, as there are several aptitudes and stats that you need to focus on. You need to use the legacies of your previous racers to give her a boost, which is not an easy task if you’re just starting the game. After getting the correct stats, you also need the best skills and support cards to make a difference during the final moments of the race.
Updated October 23, 2025 by Zoë J. Osik: We’ve updated our guide to include new skills and better support cards to help Haru Urara achieve her goals! We’ve also included a breakdown of her career so you can plan each turn ahead of time.

Haru Urara is a weak Umamusume, so do not expect her to maintain continuous high speed on longer turfs. She excels in covering shorter distances such as Mile and Sprint races. Furthermore, what sets her apart is that she is one of those few racers who do well in the Dirt terrain. So, she can help you gain some sparks for your other racers to improve their stats through legacies.
She has a very low stamina, so she works best as a Later Surger. You can get the power and guts required for that easily with Haru Urara’s ten percent growth rate in power and 20 percent in guts. She performs poorly in the front positions, but you can also use her as an End Closer if your power and guts are high.
A lot of the races in her career will not require her to win at all, and you will survive if you just come out in the top five positions. However, you do need to come out on top if you want to win the Ura-Finale using her.

Haru Urara has weaker stamina, so you will have a hard time increasing it. Getting the optimal number is more than enough, as she will mostly have Sprint races in her career, and a few of them being miles. A lot of the goals you need to fulfill for her career mode will require you to get a specific number of fans, which you can do so easily by running in shorter races, and utilizing the best of her strengths.
In Sprint races, speed will help you a lot to get closer to the front racers quickly without wasting any stamina. However, Haru Urara will also need power to rush through her opponents; otherwise, you will find her stuck between crowds.
In Arima Kinen, Haru Urara will only be expected to run and not to win. It’s a long-distance race, which she isn’t suitable for, but if you manage to increase the Stamina stats to at least 600-650, you might win that too.
You will have plenty of time to work on your stats over the increased days, especially during the early goals. So just keep training her to get the stats ratio then, as you will have fewer days to train when the goal races start. Skills can really help Haru Urara make a difference at the last moment, so we recommend substantially leveling up wit as well.
Legacy Recommendation
Haru Urara really needs improvement with some base aptitudes and stats, because she is a really weak Umamusume. Since you will ideally be playing her as a Late Surger, getting legacies from other excellent Late Surgers and End Closers will help.
Sparks obtained from characters like Gold Ship and Special Week can help her improve her base stamina and power. Special Week’s unique skill, Shooting Star, can help Haru Urara with speed and crowding issues.
