007 First Light has some big shoes to fill. Besides bringing James Bond back to video games, it also follows IO Interactive’s beloved Hitman: World of Assassination series. While the trailers had fans excited, things took a step back when the developer revealed the minimum required specs for PC.
The first thing that popped out was the minimum required Intel Core I5 9500K, which hadn’t even launched yet. Also, the recommended 12GB of VRAM didn’t match the recommended Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti GPU, which only has 8GB of VRAM. Needless to say, fans were outraged at these “minimum required” specs. Thankfully, they have now been revised.
007 First Light Revises Minimum PC Specs
A recent tweet on the game’s Twitter handle noted that an older version of the specs sheet was mistakenly shared. “We are providing today an update to the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after the community flagged some inconsistencies in an earlier version of the listing.

“The earlier mistake was due to an internal miscommunication leading to an older version of the specs to be shared. After a thorough re-examination and additional testing, the recommended RAM has been corrected from 32GB to 16GB, VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU line has been fixed. Additional performance targets will be shared closer to launch. We’re sorry for the confusion this caused and appreciate everyone who brought it to our attention.”

- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Video RAM: 8GB
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 TI, AMD RX 6700 XT, Intel Discrete GPU Equivalent
- Storage: 80GB available space
These specs make a lot more sense, especially the minimum required ones. For one, the CPU is actually available.
